She was practically being dragged now by the peacekeepers as they shuffled her off the train, on the Capitol’s shining sidewalks and into a building nearby. She tried to get one last chance to look at the outside of the Capitol before she was in the elevator up going toward the room where her stylist was waiting for her.
The doors opened and they were in a pearly white room that seemed to have everything from makeup to strange machines, to clothes, and more. She saw three bopity Capitol citizens that were obviously her stylist’s assistants run up to her and hurried her up onto a table where they all stood staring at her. Examining her.
One of them lifted Lavender up and onto a pedestal and swept off her dress, as the others took off her under garments. She stood bewildered at what had just happened in the past minute.
“Well hello there lovely, we are your preparation team.” A woman with a squeaky voice said with an amazingly white smile spreading across her face. “I’m Gilania, this is Spector” She points to the man with the black hair that seems to always cover one of his eyes. He nods at Lavender. “And this is Minxie” She points to the girl with wonderful colors of makeup all over her face.
Now Minxie walks up to her “We only have a little bit of time before your chariot ride starts.” She smiles and they grab their miscellaneous tools and start making over Lavender.
She winces as she lies on a table while they strip her legs and arms of hair. “We are very sorry about all the pain, but it shouldn’t last.” Spector says as he finishes off her legs. She looks at her newly pristine body, as the three of them begin on her hair and face. Minxie, being only about four foot, eight inches has to stand on her tiptoes to reach the top of Lavender’s hair. They finally seem done with the initial cleaning of her and step back as the door to their right opens, and in walks an absolutely gorgeous woman.
“Thank you my loves, you have done a wonderful job as always” she says to the prep team. They bow and walk out the door.
Lavender stand before the woman, completely naked, and shiny from some sort of lotion her prep team put on her.
“Hello Lavender, I have been so excited to work with you ever since I saw you walk up on stage. My name is Nicola, and I’m here to help you shine brighter then you already are,” She smiles and walks closer to Lavender, “Im sorry, you must feel so violated. Here take a robe.” She grabs a robe from the rack beside her.
“Oh please I don’t mind, your team has made me so beautiful.” Lavender responds, taking the robe from Nicola.
“Please Lavender, you have always been beautiful. Now my love I know your head must be spinning but I want to show you what I have planned for you.” She walks behind a curtain and brings Lavender a wonderful dress, covered in flowers and intricate vine designs. “I want you to seem as innocent and friendly as ever.”
“Perfect.” Lavender says as she stares at the dress. Innocent and friendly couldn’t be any better when she is trying to pull off the scared little girl image. “You have done a wonderful job.”
“Oh darling thank you but the only thing we need to worry about is how it looks on you.” She gives Lavender the dress, and Lavender slips it over her head, and stares at herself in the mirror.
“One more thing.” Nicola walks over and picks up a sort of crown made of vines, with two flowers on the top. “Now you are ready. “
She takes Lavender by the shoulders and they both look at the mirror.
“If the others don’t already have their eyes on you, they have another thing coming.”
“Well I just hope you gave me some water proof make up because im going to be crying almost the entire time.”
“You don’t say, well we take everything in account, and it will take a tsunami to get that make up off without our special removers. Would you like to share why you are planning on crying? I mean I know there are a lot of angles to this game but crying?”
Lavender seems Nicola is only here to help her so there is no reason to hold back any knowledge with her. “Well that’s my angle. Lila is my mentor, and she wants me to cry every second I’m on the cameras.”
“Bold move, I’ll keep that in mind. Now we must be off, you have quite a day ahead for you.” She says, with a smile. They both walk over to the elevator, and they are off.
